ProTech has a direct hire job opportunity for a Director of Clinical Services with our client located in Downtown Memphis. 

JOB SUMMARY

Provides quality leadership and oversight for all Well Child clinical activities to include the supervision of health care providers, medical assistants and hearing and vision technicians and the management of school-based health clinics

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and provide patient care in the school-based health clinics, including Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis & Treatment (EPSDT) exams, sports physicals, vaccine administration, and the treatment of minor medical illnesses
  • Supports the concept of being a data driven organization, relying heavily on analytics and outcome reports; Includes daily, weekly and monthly report review and analysis
  • Cultivates a strong internal culture designed around collaboration, feedback, motivation, and accountability; Responsible for clinical operations, quality and performance
  • Directly supervises Clinical Services Managers/Coordinators (CSM), providers, technicians and support staff; Works with CSM to maximize colleague performance through field staff observations, recognition and coaching when needed
  • Establish clinic protocols and manage performance against standards; Develop forms, processes/systems for the efficient tracking of tasks performed; Initiate corrective action in a timely manner, when appropriate; Ensures quality and compliance with program standards.
  • Communicate with school personnel, parents/guardians, and community providers as necessary to promote programs and resolve clinical concerns.
  • Monitors feedback from member satisfaction surveys and provider feedback and identifies process improvement opportunities
  • Hire, train, develop and evaluate health care providers, medical assistants and hearing and vision technicians and is ultimately responsible for the competency and compliance of all clinical field staff;
  • Provides performance feedback and take corrective action, as necessary, in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy
  • Manage provider payroll, calculating and submitted total hours worked and PTO used, on a weekly basis
  • Works collaboratively with the executive team and other departments and programs to ensure positive outcomes
  • Provide input for the annual clinic budget; Operate within established budgetary guidelines
  • May be required to provide input and oversight for organization’s special services program to include OT, PT, SLP; Telehealth and additional services as needed
  • Serve as the communications liaison for client management and clinical personnel; Represent the clinical staff through active service on the Medical Executive Committee and in executive meetings as needed
  • Recommend modifications and maintenance of the client EHR and other WC programs and reporting systems

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education & Training

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or a related field is required; Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years health care management experience is required, preferably in a pediatric or family practice setting.

Special Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of evaluation plans and treatment of clients with a variety of illnesses.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. A demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through effective delegation.
  • Skill in patient care and in the use of medical equipment utilized in area of assignment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain productive and positive relationships.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong organizational skills for the performance of a variety of complex administrative tasks. Ability to prioritize tasks.
